How to clean up screenshots and downloads in your own bucket

You already own the objects. Screen grabs and Downloads junk are piling up.

file.rocks is the UI. Cleanup finds screenshot and download-style names. You pick what to drop. The rest stay.

This is Screenshots & downloads under Settings → Cleanup. Name clutter. It is not how to clean up largest files in your own bucket (size ranking). It is not how to clean up likely duplicates in your own bucket (exact hash). It is not how to clean up near-duplicate photos in your own bucket (visual). It is not how to optimize photos in your own bucket (compress and overwrite). It is not Files row Delete. That hard delete path is how to delete a file from your own bucket.

1. No bucket yet

You need S3-compatible object storage. Not another Drive clone.

2. Open Screenshots & downloads

Sign in at file.rocks. Open Settings → Cleanup. Pick the bucket if needed.

The meta line is about Screenshot / IMG_ / Downloads names. Guide: common clutter from exports and screen grabs.

Empty state: Nothing in this category. Optional Show dismissed / Restore.

3. Select, then confirm

The wizard is 1 · Select / 2 · Confirm. Same CleanupInventoryReview shape as Largest files.

Select rows (Select all / Select none). Optional Dismiss selected. Sticky bar shows selected count and reclaim estimate.

Click Review deletions. Confirm step says Final check before permanent delete. Click Delete N permanently (busy: Deleting…).

The modal asks: Permanently delete N file(s) and reclaim about X? This cannot be undone. Buttons Delete permanently / Cancel.

Toasts: Deleted N file(s) / Deleted with N error(s) / Dismissed N suggestion(s).

This path is permanent delete. Do not invent trash or undo here. Soft index rows may show as deleted after.

4. What this is not
